The Independent Electricity System Operator (IESO) is launching an engagement initiative as outlined in the Settlement Agreement for the 2023-2025 Revenue Requirement Submission EB-2022-0318. Over the next six months, stakeholders and communities are invited to engage in an open two-way dialogue to better understand how the IESO can provide greater access to Market and Planning Data.Using the jurisdictional review as a starting point, the IESO will gather feedback to inform future decisions regarding the data available for access while ensuring a balance between transparency and security in the evolving landscape of electricity system Market and Planning data. Your participation is pivotal as we seek to better understand your views on IESO Market and Planning data. We invite you to respond to the questionnaire below, regarding your preference on data access, including the specific types of data you are seeking, your intended uses, and relevant access details such as format and release frequency based on your role in the electricity market.
The outcomes of this engagement will influence the IESO’s approach to data access with the appropriate considerations of confidentiality and information security and will also guide its efforts to focus resources on packaging data in ways that are most useful for stakeholders and electricity ratepayers.
