The Community Energy Champion (CEC) Program provides funding support to First Nation and Métis communities and organizations to hire a designated community energy champion within their community or organization to help plan, implement and evaluate energy-related priorities.
IESO Indigenous Energy Support Programs update
Please note that effective March, 16, 2020, many IESO employees will primarily be working remotely until at least April 6, 2020. The IESO is implementing these temporary precautionary measures in response to COVID-19 to safeguard the health of its customers, employees, and vendors and to continue to fulfill its responsibility to ensure the reliable operation of the Ontario electricity grid.
During this time, the Energy Support Program team is committed to carrying on with general business operations. We will be available to receive communication via email and phone and will respond accordingly. Please note that response times may be longer than normal.
We will continue to monitor the situation closely, consult with local health authorities and provide updates as needed. For more information on the current status of the programs, please visit our updated FAQs.
