Attendees are invited to participate in any or all of the sessions. Each of the sessions will be held as a separate webinar as shown in the agenda below. Pre-registration is recommended for each of the sessions you plan on attending as this will allow participants to simply click on the webinar link the day of the webinars.

Leonard Kula, VP Planning, Acquisition & Operations and Chief Operating Officer, will share early insights into the Annual Planning Outlook and discuss the work underway at the provincial and community level to meet future electricity needs cost-effectively, including through the Resource Adequacy engagement, Market Renewal, distributed energy resources, and conservation.

This session will delve into three parts of IESO Planning: an overview of bulk and regional planning processes; a discussion on the bulk planning projects currently underway; and an overview of regional planning activities, as well as of the purpose and scope of community engagement as it relates to helping identify local needs.

The IESO will summarize and provide a response to stakeholder feedback received following the September 28 webinar and present the proposed approach for the next phase of engagement to discuss details needed to operationalize and implement the Resource Adequacy framework.

White Paper Part II: Exploring Expanded DER Participation in the IESO-Administered Markets

This engagement meeting will discuss Part II of the Exploring Expanded DER Participation in the IESO-Administered Markets white paper, building on earlier discussions about proposed options and considerations from earlier in the year. Stakeholders will be encouraged to share their feedback on the draft paper, including on the participation options, which will inform planning for future work to enable DERs.

Updates to IESO Monitoring Requirements: Phasor Data

An update will be provided to stakeholders on the revised implementation schedule for the revised monitoring requirements. The IESO will seek feedback on the proposed Rules amendments and will present and discuss the list of areas addressed by a proposed newly drafted Market Manual.

Energy Efficiency Opportunities for Grid-Connected First Nation Communities

In this meeting, the IESO will present the draft program design and seek feedback from communities on program design elements. This will build on the discussion in the October 22 webinar and the findings from the Energy Efficiency Opportunities for Grid-Connected First Nation communities survey.
