Energy-efficiency targets set

The IESO has released the energy and demand savings targets to be achieved as part of Ontario’s 2019-2020 Interim Energy-Efficiency Framework. The Interim Framework Program Plan provides an overview of energy-efficiency programs available across the province between April 1, 2019 and December 31, 2020, and sets out the expected budgets, targets and cost-effectiveness for Save on Energy programs. The portfolio of programs is expected to achieve 1.4 TWh of electricity savings and 189 MW of demand savings based on projects contracted within the period of the interim framework.
