AMPCO has applied to OEB for a review of amendments to the market rules made by the IESO regarding the Transitional Capacity Auction

October 3, 2019

The Association of Major Power Consumers in Ontario (AMPCO) has applied to the Ontario Energy Board for a review of amendments to the market rules made by the Independent Electricity System Operator regarding the Transitional Capacity Auction and to stay the operation of the amendments. The amendments to the market rules enable the evolution of the IESO’s Demand Response Auction into a Transitional Capacity Auction, including to allow participation by certain generators. The application and other documents which form the record of the OEB’s proceeding are available on the OEB website (Case Number EB-2019-0242).

The Ontario Energy Board has issued its Notice of Hearing relating to the application. See the Notice of Hearing (English) (French).
