Code of Conduct

The IESO is relied upon to support the development of a robust electricity sector and to operate Ontario's power system and markets with independence and integrity. All IESO employees are required to adhere to a code of conduct which sets out the standards of conduct that they are expected to meet in order to ensure the continued trust and respect of market participants, market service providers, program participants, contractual counterparties, Indigenous communities, stakeholders, electricity consumers and other government organizations.

The IESO's Code of Conduct provides a framework which addresses issues of business ethics through specific rules and general standards of conduct.

The IESO also expects its business partners, consultants and contractors to uphold these high ethical standards, as further outlined in its IESO Supplier Code of Conduct.
