Travel and Accommodation

Symposium attendees are required to make their own travel arrangements, including hotel rooms, flights, car rentals and any other requirements. Attendees must submit detailed expense claims after the event, and will be reimbursed for all appropriate costs.

A block of hotel rooms is being held at the Chelsea Hotel. In order to ensure availability, hotel room reservations are required by Monday, October 1 at 11:59 PM EST. The IESO has also negotiated a discount on Porter Airlines. Please see Section I. Travel Costs for booking details, including the discount code.

There is no charge for First Nation community members or eligible First Nation organizations to attend the Symposium. Please visit https://www.eventbrite.ca/e/ieso-first-nations-energy-symposium-2018-registration-48845923472 to register for this year’s Symposium by 11:59 pm EST on Monday, October 1.

In an effort to support broad participation of First Nation community members and organizations, the IESO will reimburse eligible travel, meal and accommodation charges for up to two adults (26+) and one youth (17-25) from each First Nation community or organization.
