Julie Girvan is a member of IESO's Stakeholder Advisory Committee, representing the sector of consumers.
Ms. Girvan is an independent consultant specializing in natural gas and electricity regulation and regulatory policy. She is currently advising the Consumers Council of Canada in its role representing the interests of residential consumers in both electricity and natural gas matters in Ontario. She has been involved extensively with the restructuring initiatives in Ontario's natural gas and electricity sectors. Ms. Girvan was a member of the electricity industry's Market Design Committee and was the residential representative on the IESO's Technical Panel for two terms. She spends a large part of her time managing interventions in proceedings before the Ontario Energy Board. She has a BA from McMaster University and an MA in Public Administration from Carleton University.
