Brant local Demand Response pilot

The IESO, with input from the Brant area Local Distribution Companies (LDCs), has initiated the development of the Brant Local Demand Response ("DR") Pilot, which seeks to secure up to approximately 15 MW of DR provided by local load customers.
This pilot is intended to help the IESO and LDCs test the use of DR to assist with local capacity needs and will provide interim capacity relief, if needed, until additional capacity provided by transmission reinforcements are in place in 2019.
At this time, the IESO, in conjunction with Brantford Power Inc., Energy + Inc. and Hydro One Distribution, is seeking to gather information from load customers in the Brant area through a questionnaire to assist in the development of the pilot.
Interested parties are encouraged to visit the Brant Local DR Pilot webpage for more information, to subscribe to updates, and to download and complete the questionnaire. Questionnaire responses are due by September 23 and can be submitted to engagement@ieso.ca
