Demand Response Auction update

The IESO is preparing for Ontario’s third Demand Response (DR) Auction which will take place December 6 and 7. The organizations who have already completed an authorization process for the upcoming auction can submit bids into a competitive auction process for an opportunity to secure a capacity position in the IESO wholesale electricity market during defined availability windows in 2018-19.
The total qualified capacity for the 2018-19 summer and winter commitment periods are as follows:
- Summer (May 1, 2018 to October 31, 2018): 910.3 MW
- Winter (November 1, 2018 to April 30, 2019): 1039.3 MW
