September 13 Planning Technical Conference to focus on electricity planning and transmission procurement

The IESO will be hosting a one-day conference in Toronto on September 13 to discuss electricity planning The morning session will provide an opportunity for sector participants to learn about the current electricity planning outlook, and how the IESO’s electricity planning processes and products will evolve as Ontario moves towards a more competitive electricity market. The afternoon session will focus on transmission planning processes and considerations, including a discussion about competitive transmission procurement design and the proposed engagement plan for this initiative.
