2008 Consumer Forum Report
The IESO reports on its consumer-focused activities on an annual basis. This first report
focuses on activities and initiatives undertaken in 2008 to meet the broad objectives described above. Activities were targeted at three main groups of consumers: large-volume market
participants, mid-sized customers that pay the market price and low-volume residential and
small business.

ONTARIO MARKET OUTLOOK
The Ontario Market Outlook is designed to engage stakeholders in a broader discussion about how to leverage Ontario’s electricity market to facilitate generation investment, increase the influence of demand response, support more efficient and reliable trade and promote environmental objectives. The report is supported by four discussion papers commissioned by the IESO to explore the issues of generation investment, demand response, trade and the environmental sustainability within the context of market evolution.

Until 2005, the IESO published an annual 10-Year Outlook.
This report assessed the generation and transmission adequacy to maintain system reliability and ensure the IESO-administered markets operate efficiently.
In future, this assessment will be released by the Ontario Power Authority which assumed responsibility for long-term system planning.
