Patricia A. Koval
Patricia Koval is a corporate director and lawyer, and a former adjunct professor at the University of Toronto. She retired as senior partner from Torys LLP, where she specialized in corporate finance, capital markets, mergers and acquisitions, securities law, carbon finance, market regulation and corporate governance.
Ms. Koval serves on the boards of Trans Mountain Corporation, Deltera Inc., Delmanor Communities, and the GTA chapter executive board of the Institute of Corporate Directors (ICD). She chairs the Canadian Performance Reporting Board of CPA Canada, as well as the Board of the Canada-India Business Council, which facilitates trade and investment between Canada and India.
A strong advocate of conservation, Ms. Koval is chair of the Toronto and Region Conservation Foundation, and serves on the boards of a number of conservation-focused organizations, including the Ontario regional board of the Nature Conservancy of Canada where she is the Vice-Chair. She is the recipient of both a Lexpert Zenith award for her commitment to environmental action as former chair of World Wildlife Canada, and of the U of T’s Arbor Award for longstanding service on its environmental finance advisory committee.
After completing an honours BA in economics, Ms. Koval graduated from the joint MBA/JD program at the Schulich School of Business and Osgoode Hall Law School.
