Technical Panel update - new Member appointed and Call for Nominations reinstated

November 2, 2017

The IESO Board of Directors is pleased to announce the appointment of Sushil Samant, Director, Gas and Electricity Marketing at Northland Power to represent Market Participant Generators on the IESO’s Technical Panel. A current list of the membership, including contact information, can be found on the Technical Panel Membership webpage.

The IESO is also reinstating a call for nominations of qualified individuals to represent large (market participant) industrial consumers to join the Technical Panel. The deadline to submit a nomination is November 24, 2017.

The Technical Panel is a body of Ontario stakeholders formed to consider amendments to the Market Rules and, as requested, to provide advice to the IESO Board on technical issues relating to the operation of the IESO-administered markets.

  • A letter of nomination
  • The nominee's resume
  • A 'Declaration of Nominee' for membership on the Technical Panel, completed and signed by the nominee. Appointed members will be required to sign a non-disclosure agreement with the IESO

Please submit the above information on or before the close of business on September 29, 2017 to:
