Marketplace Training Courses: Smart Metering

The Smart Metering Initiative is the Government of Ontario�s initiative to create a conservation culture and a toolset for demand management based on the province-wide deployment of smart meters. The Smart Metering System Implementation Program (SMSIP) provides a delivery framework to support these objectives. The IESO, as the Smart Metering Entity, oversees this initiative, and facilitates the implementation program.

Our training guides provide information on the Meter Data Management and Repository (MDM/R), registration forms, and testing and cutover. The guides are currently under development. We will update the guides when there are changes to the MDM/R or to procedures, and will record updates in each guide�s revision history document.
