The renewed market includes a day-ahead market, which will provide greater operational certainty to the IESO and greater financial certainty to market participants (generators, traders, and large users of energy). It also introduces locational marginal pricing to better reflect the cost of electricity based on system conditions and the availability of transmission capacity.

Renewed Market Update – Market Performance and Operational Overview
This webinar will provide stakeholders with a high-level overview of market performance and operations since the launch of the renewed market on May 1. As the renewed market systems transition to steady state and the IESO and participants gain experience, a small number of software defects have been detected and addressed and some common observations and questions about market results have been identified. The IESO will speak to the defects and their mitigation, and some common observations and questions.
