Technical Panel - Market Rule Amendment Determinations

The Technical Panel voted to recommend market rule amendment proposal MR-00490-R00: Adjustments to Real-Time Make-Whole Payments to the IESO Board of Directors for review. This proposal amends the market rules to address unwarranted make-whole payments that can occur under very specific and limited circumstances.
The Technical Panel also determined that market rule amendments submission MR-00491-Q00: Update to Contingency Event Definitions warrants consideration. This submission proposes to make an administrative update to the market rules to align the terminology and defined terms for contingency events with Northeast Power Coordinating Council (NPCC) and North American Electric Reliability Corporation (NERC).
