Presenting Draft Recommendations to Ensure Reliability and Support Economic Growth in the Greater Toronto Area West Region

As part of the regional planning process for Greater Toronto Area West (GTA) region, the IESO is presenting updates to the options analysis, as well as draft recommendations, to ensure long-term reliability of the electricity system and support economic growth. These recommendations are informed by detailed assessments of forecasted electricity demand, infrastructure capabilities, and a range of potential solutions to address system requirements.
Throughout the process, the IESO gathered valuable feedback from municipalities, Indigenous communities, stakeholders, and members of the public to better understand regional priorities and perspectives. The IESO welcomes further input to refine draft recommendations to finalize the Integrated Regional Resource Plan.
On November 2 from 1:30 to 3:00 p.m., the IESO will host a webinar to share updates on the detailed options analysis and seek input on the draft recommendations Presentation materials will be made available in advance of the webinar, and participants are encouraged to register ahead of time.
