2019 Physical and Financial Market Holiday Schedule

The IESO publishes a number of calendars, which highlight key settlement and payment dates, crucial submission deadlines and release schedules for critical technical documentation. Below is a listing of Physical and Financial Market holidays. If a holiday happens to fall on a weekday, any associated payments and/or forms are due or will be published the next business day.

 

  • January 1 - New Year's Day
  • February 18 - Family Day
  • April 19 - Good Friday
  • April 22 - Easter Monday*
  • May 20 - Victoria Day
  • July 1 - Canada Day
  • August 5 - Civic Holiday
  • September 2 - Labour Day
  • October 14 - Thanksgiving Day
  • November 11 - Remembrance Day*
  • December 25 - Christmas Day
  • December 26 - Boxing Day

 

*The holiday schedule used to calculate transmission charges differs from the schedule for Physical and Financial Market settlements. The holidays recognized by the IESO for the purposes of calculating transmission charges do not include Easter Monday and Remembrance Day.
