New stakeholder engagement - Enabling System Flexibility

The IESO has identified an emerging need for the ability to schedule resources capable of responding within a short time frame in order to manage forecast uncertainty in the real-time energy market. The IESO wants to engage with stakeholders to discuss this need and to explore a range of potential solutions for enhanced flexibility in the electricity system. A draft stakeholder engagement plan has been posted to the Enabling System Flexibility engagement page, which outlines the scope and timelines for this engagement and the areas for which feedback will be sought.
The first meeting will take place the morning of June 24. Stakeholders interested in participating in this engagement can contact engagement@ieso.ca for further details and to register.
