Innovation and Sector Evolution White Paper Series engagement begins

As part of its efforts to enable innovation that supports system reliability and cost-effectiveness, the IESO is launching an engagement on the design of white papers aimed at creating a shared understanding of emerging trends and opportunities that could have an impact on Ontario’s electricity system and broader electricity sector.
The white papers will also provide transparent, objective information to inform policy, planning and investment decisions, help overcome access-to-information barriers that can pose a challenge to market participation, and reduce the potential duplication of efforts and costs.
At a webinar on April 26, the IESO will provide more information about this initiative and present research questions for the initial group of white papers. Paper-specific project briefs, as well as the webinar deck, will be posted online.
