Two draft innovation white papers released

The IESO is releasing two draft Innovation and Sector Evolution White Papers that delve into different aspects of DERs, for industry engagement. Development of a Transmission-Distribution Interoperability Framework looks at how operational coordination could evolve to support higher numbers of DERs in the electricity markets. Non-Wires Alternatives Using Energy and Capacity Markets explores various models for procuring services from DERs as alternatives to traditional distribution and transmission infrastructure.
Findings will be presented in an engagement webinar about the IESO York Region NWA Demonstration Project on December 12 from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Please register online. Find materials on the white paper series engagement web page.
