2021 in Focus - A Fireside Chat with Interim President and CEO Terry Young and Bruce Power Executive VP James Scongack

January 14, 2021

Kicking off the January Stakeholder Engagement meetings will be a fireside chat with IESO Interim President and CEO Terry Young and James Scongack, Vice-Chair of the IESO Stakeholder Advisory Committee and Executive VP at Bruce Power. Their discussion will set the stage for 2021 as the IESO works with stakeholders to address system needs that emerge over the coming decade as well as enhance competition in the market. Hear what’s shaping the IESO’s priorities and how we will act on them. Don’t forget to bring questions to ask the speakers.

The agenda for the January 26 stakeholder engagement meetings is also available, meeting materials have been posted, and registration is open.

Following the kickoff, the IESO will present key findings of the 2020 Annual Planning Outlook (APO), highlight new elements in this year’s APO, and provide stakeholders with an opportunity to ask questions, seek clarification, and provide feedback on areas for improvement. The final January webinar will present the Board-approved, high-level Resource Adequacy framework for Ontario and engage with stakeholders on a new report that will translate needs identified in planning documents into acquisition targets for each of the mechanisms identified in the framework.

Attendees can participate in any or all sessions, and pre-registration is recommended. Please contact engagement@ieso.ca with any questions.
