Minister asks IESO to Explore Agreement for Oneida Battery Park Project

The Ontario Minister of Energy, Northern Development and Mines has asked the IESO to enter into contract negotiations with NRStor Inc. and Six Nations of the Grand River Development Corp. to explore a ten-year agreement for their proposed 250 megawatt Oneida Battery Storage facility, to be located in Haldimand County.
The negotiations will aim to achieve the outcomes outlined in the letter from the Minister, including a net revenue requirement that ensures lowest project cost and therefore the greatest value to ratepayers over the contract term. If an agreement can be reached on proposed major contract terms, the IESO will submit them to the Minister for further consideration.
