Minister's Letter on Community Engagement

On November 14, the IESO received a letter from the Minister of Energy asking the IESO to appear before municipal councils, providing information on provincial system needs in light of the province’s goals for growing a reliable, affordable and clean electricity system. The letter also asks the IESO to prioritize appearing before councils that are considering electricity generation projects that can produce energy on demand, and which will be critical to ensuring the province’s overall system reliability. The IESO made itself available at the Greater Napanee Council on November 14 and will continue to do so going forward.
