The Feed-in Tariff (FIT) Program was launched in March 2009 and administered by the Independent Electricity System Operator. Revisions to Rules and Contracts were reflected in five iterations of the program and supported by ongoing stakeholder feedback and review. Communications materials and supporting documents for each version of the program are available below. While no longer an active procurement, the IESO will continue to oversee the contract management process related to the FIT Program.
FIT Version 5 The application period for the final iteration of the program, FIT 5, was open from November 7, 2016 to November 25, 2016, and 390 applications were identified as eligible to receive a FIT Contract. These contracts represented 149.999 megawatts (MW) of renewable energy. The procurement target for FIT 5 was 150 MW. |
