Connecting Today.
Powering Tomorrow.
The Independent Electricity System Operator (IESO) works at the heart of Ontario's power system. The IESO delivers key services across the electricity sector including: managing the power system in real-time, planning for the province's future energy needs, enabling conservation and designing a more efficient electricity marketplace to support sector evolution.
Q2 Reliability Outlook Now Available
Ontario is expected to have an adequate supply of electricity to meet the needs of residents, businesses and communities for the next 18 months. However, the province has entered a period of tighter electricity supply conditions that will require active outage management and increased import volumes during certain periods.
Annual Acquisition Report Released

An information session on April 8, 2022 will explain the report’s key takeaways, the possibilities for meeting near-term needs and highlight opportunities to participate.
