This engagement update provides a snapshot of all active IESO engagement activities and is updated on a monthly basis. It helps support a greater understanding of linkages between engagements, and a foundation for more comprehensive and integrated updates.
The IESO will share key findings from the 2025 Annual Planning Outlook and provide an opportunity to ask questions and offer feedback to help shape future outlooks. The session will also cover the 2026 Annual Planning Outlook electricity planning scenarios and how key macro, demand, and supply factors are considered.
The IESO will discuss updates to the RFP and contracts, feedback received since the April Engagement session, and provide key information and next steps for proponents ahead of the submission window. In addition, the IESO will discuss and update participants on LT2 deliverability preliminary guidance, and final stage testing.
This engagement will provide an overview of the proposed program design elements, including: project timelines, funding models, new construction, etc. Feedback from this engagement will inform the new industrial program set to launch in the fall of 2025.
