This engagement update provides a snapshot of all active IESO engagement activities and is updated on a monthly basis. It helps support a greater understanding of linkages between engagements, and a foundation for more comprehensive and integrated updates.
The IESO will provide a high-level overview of the 2022 Annual Planning Outlook covering Ontario's electricity needs for the period of 2024-2043. The session will discuss alignment of information and insights from the Pathways to Decarbonization report and next steps for the upcoming Annual Acquisition Report.
The IESO will recap their recommendations and responses to stakeholder feedback for the DER foundational models and present the recommendations for the DER enhanced models.
The IESO will provide design memos to conclude the design phase of the Capacity Auction enhancements engagement and transition to the draft market rule and manual phase of the final design for the 2023 enhancements. IESO response to feedback received from the November 2022 session and an update on the Forward Capacity Auction will also be discussed during this session.
The IESO and Electricity Power Research Institute will review the results of the participation model study and recommendations from the Hybrid Design Vision.
