The Independent Electricity System Operator decommissioned the microFIT facsimile line. As a result, the facsimile number contained in Section 9.3 of the version 1.3, 1.4, 1.5, 1.6 and 1.62 Contracts is no longer operational and the option to give notice to the IESO by facsimile transmission is no longer available. For other Contract versions, any references to giving notice to the IESO by facsimile transmission are removed.

As previously communicated to all contract holders, on January 1, 2015, the Ontario Power Authority (OPA) merged with the Independent Electricity System Operator to form the organization called the Independent Electricity System Operator, or the “IESO”. As a result of this merger, references to the OPA contained in its contracts, including contact details, are no longer current. Specifically, Section 9.0 (of version 1.3, 1.4, 1.5, or 1.6 contracts) or Section 7.0 (of a version 2, 2.0.1, 2.1, 3, 3.0.1, 3.1 and 3.1.1 contracts) of the microFIT Contract is no longer applicable as it references the OPA instead of the IESO.
Please be advised that if you have a version 1.3, 1.4, 1.5, 1.6, 2, 2.0.1, 2.1, 3, 3.0.1, 3.1 and/or 3.1.1 microFIT contract, this notice will require your attention. If you have any of the previously listed microFIT contract versions, this is notice that the following changes to your contract will come into effect with the implementation of BEACON.
If you have a version 1.3, 1.4, 1.5 & 1.6 microFIT contract the following contract changes will be made:
